We spent our Easter weekend in Norfolk so I thought Iβd share what we got up to if you are thinking of planning a trip there – We stayed in the wonderful Old Hall (see previous post for a full review!) which is situated in North Norfolk but we spent lots of time on the coastβ¦ Hereβs what we got up to:
π¦- Walked along Hunstanton beach and grabbed an ice cream from East Coast Gelato – it was SO good and the scoops were huge!
πΎ – Explored Old Hunstanton beach – itβs just up the road from Hunstanton but is way less touristy, more natural and perfect for a dog walk!
π- Took the Bure Valley Railway from Aylsham to Wroxham – itβs a tiny little train thatβs dog friendly too – you get assigned your own carriage and the journey takes around 45 mins
βοΈ – Sailed the Norfolk Broads with Broads Tours Boats – Again this was doggy friendly and the guides were really knowledgable it was a great way to explore the Norfolk Broads
π- Explored Wroxham town and waterways – Wroxham has a number of great walking routes and shops including Royβs stores – A family run business since 1895, Roys department stores are located across Norfolk & Suffolk
π – Got lunch at The Station Smokehouse- A unique restaurant near the station specialising in BBQ our favourite was the brisket
πΈ – Wandered around Burnham Market a picturesque town near the north Norfolk coast, the pretty flowers are outside Mables sweet shop
π½ – Had Sunday lunch at Socius The whole meal was amazing but our highlight was the tuna starter and of course Freddieβs doggy dinner!
π- Visited Wells-Next-The-Sea – we parked in the beach car park and walked along the waterside into the town
π – Relaxed! When we werenβt out exploring Old Hall was the perfect place to kick back and relax in their gorgeous gardens surrounded by countryside!
Have you ever been to Norfolk? π
