We spent the bank holiday weekend staying in Cornwall and stayed at the lovely Signal Box air B n B which is one of two unique cabins on the site of Old Luckett Station just outside of Callington in East Cornwall, just north of Plymouth in Devon. The cabin we stayed in is situated at the end of a long driveway where railway tracks used to sit at Old Luckett Station which is now closed – However hosts Jacqueline and Tim have kept the history alive by resorting the old waiting room building, station sign and traditional decor – inside the air B and B you can find an array of historic prints, railway memorabilia and local art! 🚂
The highlight for us had to be the covered hot tub with stunning views of Tamar Valley and Dartmoor National Park – not to mention the farmland with lots of cows and resident sheep Boris, Donald, Thomas and Francis who Freddie loved making friends with! 🐑 There is also an outdoor hot shower to use after going in the hot tub which was really lovely – The air B and B itself is dog friendly and the garden areas are all enclosed, it had a full kitchen, bathroom and really comfy bed 🛌
The location was great for exploring both areas Cornwall and Devon so is a a great base out in the country to ‘do it all’ in a long weekend! The sister property is called ‘The Sidings’ if you want to search for them on Air B and B! Huge thanks to the hosts for a fantastic, relaxing weekend! 🍃☀️
